Jake and Kathryn

This weekend we went to our church's leadership retreat and these are some pics of my friend rebecca's daughter Kathyrn and Jake. Notice how she is smiling in ALL the pics....that is how I always see her! She has such a happy disposition! I think she likes her picture being taken too!:)

Jake did SO GOOD on the trip! I really prepared my heart for it to be more challenging than it was. Jake slept well being drug from room to room with a pack'n'play...long car rides both ways and being in his stroller a lot. Although I didn't get to hear many of the messages, not due to his crying but due to his laughing and playing loud, I DID get to worship a lot. It was just a sweet time of singing and praising God. James was such a servant by watching jake while I got to go into town and spend some time with one of my FAVORITE people to be with....Jane.

Some new fun things jake is doing is clapping for himself when he does anything and pulling up alot on everything and exploring his new world(the house) now that he can crawl/inch worm. It is all so fun and exciting to see him find the smallest things interesting/new.

months 2-8?

To all of you who have asked me about ''baby fever'',.....I am actually quite content with my little man right now BUT would LOVE and be so EXCITED if God's plan was to bless us again soon with another little one.

Month 1

My little alien! This was the bili blanket we had to have him on for 24 hours for 2 full days home from the hospital.We were very much in prayer that his levels would rise quickly...him being hooked up to a cord to the wall made breastfeeding during those first important days VERY hard.

Getting back to the daily laundry duties...except now with wonderful company!

Painting my toes 4 weeks before due date thinking Jake would be a little early?!!!!.....didn't happen. PARRTTYYY TIME! This was right after my epidurel and i am eating my 4th popsicle. Feelin pretttyy good right about now :)
A little scared of the oxygen mask since the only other time i've seen this thing is on medical shows when the patient is about to DIE!



In light of no new news in the Hasty house and Jake's upcoming birthday, I thought it would be fun to document Jake's first year with pictures!

HOORAY FOR JAKOB!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jake has started to get up on his knees and rock back and forth and then hop both his knees forward! he gets whatever he wants but it takes time. He thinks he's hotstuff now! It is so much fun watching him do this. the other pic is him shimmying to get a toy. I love my crazy little man!!!!!

When Daddy's Bathe...............

This is a result of Jake's bathtime with daddy. He loves when james baths him! Last night in the bath i heard him singing/rapping a variety of songs from christian rap to the sunshine song . Jake hes been bouncing his head and moving to the beat. He already has better moves then me!

For July 4th we went to the Harrisburg carnival with some friends. It was very hot! Here is Jake with his buddy Isaiah Hartness. They are only a month apart. Isaiah already has really good posture!
