my first mothers day

this is the result of jake and daddy's gift making for me!

yes...that is jakes butt print! :)
jakes 8 month pic from the picture people
I will try to write about this mother's day without getting too teary-eyed! This was my first mother's day that I got to actually hold my sweet baby.I have been pregnant the last 2 mother's days. Most of you all know that we lost our first baby right after mother's day 2005. I was pregnant last year with jake so that is why this mothers day is SO special this year! I am so very overwhelmed with thankfulness to God for my little jake! he has been such a joy to us and mommyhood has been way more rewarding than I ever dreamed possible!
James made me french toast, 2 eggs over easy, bacon and coffee...and cleaned it all up for me! this was all before church! he got up really early to start. he also gave me a card from jake that they had made the night before with paint. jakes hands, feet and..butt prints! he helped jake write a letter to me too! its was such a blessing! james totally tops me on creativity. he know exactly how to make me feel appreciated and loved! I had such a wonderful day with my 2 men!
All day long I felt a special prompting to be in prayer for all of the women who are struggling to get pregnant, particularly one dear friend. I know somewhat what its like to have mothers day roll around and be even more so aware of your intense desire for a child. It was such a temptation to be discontent or question God's plan for my life when mothers day came every year. I pray that God encouraged you all on sunday and used that day to draw you even closer to him.I hope that you find comfort in knowing that he is in control over every detail of our lives. you all are continually in my prayers!

Um.... LOL at the butt print!!!! Only a man would have thought of that! But it's soooo cute! And the breakfast??? What a sweet husband to make you feel loved by him and your little son!
It means so much when women struggling to just obtain pregnancy hear that women like you are remembering us compassionately in prayer. I know when people like you pray, God ministers to our hearts. Thank you for obeying His prompting!!! I know you've walked in hardship and then faith, so it means even more to hear it from you.
Blessed day to you!!!!
